Julia (Judy) Marie Christopher was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 29, 2023. Judy was born on January 20, 1947, in Kilgore, Texas to Harold and Marvis Strickland. Judy was happily married to David Christopher, her partner in love and life for almost 40 years at the time of her death.
Judy is survived by her husband, son Glenn Rector and wife Deidra, daughter Amy Batchelor and fiancé Scott Schobel, and daughter Rebecca Morone and husband Ryan, grandchildren Tanner Batchelor, Lane Batchelor, Mason Batchelor, Brennan Batchelor, Wyatt Rector, Madison Morone, Emery Morone, four great-grandchildren, brother Marvin Strickland and sister Bebe Chandler. Preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Marvis Strickland, brother Harold Gene Strickland II, and grandson Chase Batchelor. Judy loved the Lord and was devoted to her family. She was witty and kind with a special sense of humor. Judy was the backbone of their family construction company, and was blessed with a true green thumb, enjoyed coke floats and the simplicity of life at home. Judy was the right hand to her husband, David, and the co-pilot on his wild adventures which included flying airplanes, fishing trips, helicopters, and their latest hobby of raising hens. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed, but we know she went to live with our Creator for eternity.
