Alanson Bruce Clegg, 59, of Bellville died April 9, 2014 in San Antonio.. Bruce was born Jan. 16, 1955 in Houston, graduated from High School in Katy and attended Stephen F. Austin State University. Bruce lived in a number of towns but always called Katy and Bellville home. Bruce was an avid hunter and golfer and could always be found in “the game” on the Bellville Golf course on Saturdays. Bruce spent his last several years in the oilfield as a pipeline materials management professional following in the footsteps of his brothers, father and Uncle. Bruce is preceded in death by his Father- Millard F. Clegg Jr.,Mother- Dorothy Daniel Clegg, and brother- Brantley Clegg. He is survived by his brother Dan (Laura) Clegg of Salida, Colo., his sister Ellen (Jerry) Gamble of Boerne, Texas. Good friends Mike and Diane Murphy and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews. Internment was at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Bellville, Monday, April 14 at 1 p.m.. Posted by Joy Neely
