October 23, 1925 Friday, page 1 The death of George Zander occurred at New Ulm, Texas, Friday, October 16. The deceased was born in Germany February 12, 1858, and came to Brenham, Texas in 1880. He was married to Miss Marie Thiele shortly after his arrival in the United States, to which union the following children survive: Mrs. John Erks of Nebraska, Mrs. George Bartay of Bellville, Mrs. Otilie Bartay of New Ulm and Frits and Herman Zander of Bellville. After the death of his wife in 1893, Mr. Zander married Miss Louise Langberg. The following children survive this union: Mrs. Richard Zander of Bellville and Mrs. Reinhold of Kenny, and a son whose home is not known. After the death of his wife, Mr. Zander married Mrs. Dora Bartay Stein, who with the following children survive: Louis Bartay of Dallas, Herman Bartay of Oklahoma, Emil Bartay of Sealy and Edwin Bartay of Houston. In 1918 the family moved to New Ulm, where they now reside. The remains were carried to Bellville for burial with services by Rev. J. K. Poch of the Lutheran Church. Submitted by Jerry Lee Frank
