Funeral Services for James Scott Engelking of Cat Spring were held at the Chapel of The Etlinger Funeral Home in Bellville Monday, February 3, 1986 at 2 p.m. with Rev. John Birkelback officiating.
Interment was in the Cat Spring Cemetery. Mr. Engelking passed away Friday, January 31, in a Houston hospital. He was 32 years of age. Born in Houston December 26, 1953, he attended Affton High School in St. Louis and San Jacinto College in Houston. He had lived in New Orleans and St. Louis, MO, but returned to Texas in 1977 and was employed as an electrician. He never married and was a member of the Bellville United Methodist Church. Surviving are his parents, Fritz J. and Janice Suhr Engelking of Cat Spring; his grandmother, Mrs. Lena Suhr of Bellville; a sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Danny Johnson of Portland, Oregon; twin nieces, Emily and Sally Johnson. The family requests donations be made to the M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. Pallbearers were Daryl Hill, Charles Eckardt, Steve Sebesta, David Mikovsky, Doug Koneschek, and David Price.
