On Saturday, October 5th, 1918, Mrs. Wilhelmine Reinecker, aged 80 years, 2 months and 6 days, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Frank, and was buried on Monday, October 7 at Pilgrims Rest cemetery at 10:30 a.m., Rev. W.J. David of the Baptist church officiating.

"Grandma" Reinecker, as she was familiarly known, imigrated from Germany to Texas with her husband and two children in the early fifties and for a short period the family lived in Galveston.

Later they moved to Austin county and settled in the Piney neighborhood where the family has lived ever since. She witnessed the hardships of the war between the states, but at all times proved to be a devoted wife and mother, and was always ready to do any duty imposed upon her necessary to carry on the struggle for the Confederacy.

She was a good woman and lived a useful life, always ready to give succor to the needy and worthy.

Mrs. Reinecker is survived by 11 children, 61 grandchildren, 99 great-grand-children and one great-great-grand-child, besides many other relatives.
