Victor Frederick Brast, Sr., 92, of Sealy, Texas, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. On December 21, 1925, Gustav and Eliza welcomed Victor into this world where he was one of thirteen children. Victor grew up in Sealy and married his wife, Shirley, in Sealy on July 20, 1959 and to this marriage they had one son. Victor worked from a young age as a mechanic and spent over five decades working on farm equipment as a mechanic at Sealy Tractor Company where he was known far and wide for his mechanic skills. This talent was passed on to his son and grandsons. Victor also loved to garden and raise cattle. At the time of his death, he still maintained a garden of broccoli and cauliflower. Victor is preceded in death by his parents, Gustav and Eliza Brast; wife, Shirley Brast; sisters; Alice Marcinkiewicz, Deana Brast, Emily Foshee; brothers, Marcus Brast, Lee Brast, Ed Brast, Manuel Brast, Reinhardt Brast, William Brast, and David Brast. Victor is survived by his son, Victor Brast, Jr. and wife, Wanda; brothers, Weldon Brast and Gene Brast (Ann); grandchildren, Daniel Brast (Cortney), and Joshua Brast; great-grandchildren, Maddox and Raelynn Brast; and his caregiver, Rosa Ray. Visitation service will be at The Shepherd's Way Church in Sealy, Texas from 12 noon-2:00 pm on Monday, February 5, 2018. Funeral service will began at 2:00 pm, followed by an immediate burial at Sealy Cemetery. Pallbearers are Daniel Brast, Joshua Brast, John Marcinkiewicz, Ed Marcinkiewicz, Brian Reichardt, and Marcus Reichardt. Funeral service was provided by Knesek Bros. Family Funeral Home at 768 Fourth Street, Sealy, Texas 77474. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Shepherd's Way Church or a charity of your choice. |
