John W. (Johnny) Coleman Jr., a loving husband, father, and grandfather, 56, of Sealy, Texas passed away on February 11, after fighting cancer for 10 months.
Johnny was born in Sealy, Texas on May 24, 1967, to John W. Coleman Sr. and Rachel Coleman. Johnny was a 1985 graduate of Sealy High School. Johnny leaves behind his loving family which includes his wife of 27 years, Katherine, and his 3 children and 3 grandchildren. His children and grandchildren are daughter Amber (Jake) Loukanis and grandson Jace Loukanis of Brenham, son Bo (Casey Cochran) Coleman and grandchildren Mila Cochran and Parker Coleman of Katy and son Clay Coleman of Sealy. Johnny also leaves behind aunts Vernell Kutra, Pat Stavinoha, and Marie Stavinoha as well as many cousins. Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Anton and Emma Stavinoha, and his uncles Benjamin Kutra Sr, Earl Stavinoha Sr, and Harvey Stavinoha Sr. Johnny was loved dearly by his family. His greatest pride was his family and he was happiest surrounded by his family and his 2 dogs. Johnny always took up for his children and was their biggest supporter. Johnny enjoyed coaching KYF and Sealy Little League when his children were younger. Whenever Johnny was not coaching, he was cheering on countless games featuring his children from little league and youth football to travel baseball and high school sports. Johnny was an avid sports fan but especially enjoyed Sealy Tiger football and baseball, the Texans, and the Astros. Johnny also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mowing his yard. Johnny never gave a care for keeping up with the Joneses and loved to BS with everyone, he took joy in getting to know people. Johnny worked for the USPS for 25 years and was a walking address book. Johnny loved not only visiting with friends on his mail route but was eager to introduce his family to those from his mail route when they crossed paths around town.
